The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Lenart Place in Hopewell Junction, when East Fishkill Police responded to a call for help following the home invasion, police said.
The victim told police that four people had forced their way into his house and robbed him before fleeing, police said.
Responding officers located two of the suspects in a car parked down the street from the scene and two others fled into a wooded area.
State Police responded with a K-9 unit and additional troopers arrived to assist in the search. A short time later, an East Fishkill detective located two males walking on Creamery Road and they were identified as the suspects and arrested, police said.
The suspects were identified as Ryan Avery, 18, of Hopewell Junction, Jaylene Shaw, 17, of Hyde Park, Carmin Young, 17, of Poughkeepsie, and Paulina Rigoloso, 16, of Gardner.
Each teens was charged with burglary, robbery, conspiracy, all felonies, and menacing. All four were arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond pending their return to court.
The incident is still under investigation, but it appears that the victim knows at least one of the defendants and that this was not a random act, police said.
